problematic situation
The village of Dúbrava in the Spiš region (Slovakia) suffered from the siltation of sediments from water erosion, which resulted in deteriorated hydrology of small watercourses in the cadastre of the village and a potential threat to the water reservoir Ružin on the Hornád River.

Implementation
The municipality of Dúbrava has implemented a system of water protection through more than 200 nature-based water protection measures. At the end of the implementation, a recreational and municipal pond was also built. 27 local unemployed people worked on the project. The total cost amounted to 120 thousand €.
